This class offers an overview and hands-on sampling of the essential techniques used to create contemporary micro-macramé designs for jewelry, beads, and basketry. We will talk about materials, incorporating beads with the knotwork, and proper knotting techniques. Basic knotting patterns will be explored with a sampler that students will work on in class and come together in a follow-up project to continue after class.
Required Supplies to Bring: Macramé Board (11X17" fiberboard or cork board), scissors.
Materials in Kit: Knot Diagrams and handouts, cords for practice sampler, pins and embroidery needle, materials for follow-up bookmark project.
